Jean Faivor
HOUSING MANAGER
Jean Faivor serves as Housing Manager for Ann’s Nest and brings 10 years of experience as direct care staff and House Manager within a unique self-determination arrangement in Charlevoix County. She is committed to supporting individuals in living lives of their own choosing, with autonomy, respect, and community connection at the center.
Jean has been connected to the disability community since childhood, growing up alongside her older brother with Down syndrome. This early experience shaped her deep belief that everyone has inherent value and deserves dignity, respect, and the agency to shape their own life. At the foundation of that belief is safe, stable housing—a place where individuals can feel secure, build relationships, and be part of a community.
She is passionate about helping create housing opportunities that are not only safe, but truly supportive of each person’s independence, preferences, and sense of belonging. Through thoughtful planning, advocacy, and relationship-building, Jean works to help develop communities that uplift and support those who need it most.
In her free time, Jean enjoys volunteering in her community, playing board games with her kids, hiking in Northern Michigan’s woods, reading, and spending time with her guinea pig companions.
